Welcome to Cook Read Review!!

Read Review

Hi guys, welcome to Cook Read Review.

My name is Shay and I’m a readaholic.

As far as I can remember I’ve always had a book in my hand; from the Lady Bird books to the Enid Blyton books to reading harlequin books when I was way too young (shame on you mom for allowing this). At every stage in my life, I have loved reading. Lately, my genre of choice is fantasy, sci-fi, and laugh-out-loud romance ummmm maybe some dark romance thrown in every now and again.

Let me tell you a secret, I’ve had this idea for a blog for a few years and every time I picked up a book, I got so engrossed that before I knew it, I finished the book and forgot to take notes to write a review. Until one day I ran out of books to read, wellllll let’s be honest, one does not run out of books to read.. rather I was sporting a serious book hangover and couldn’t find the right book to satisfy my withdrawal symptoms. It’s then that I decided to reread some old favorites. So I figured why not use this time to start this blog. Oh boy, I was sadly mistaken. I fell down the rabbit hole again. (shame face) But I shall not fail…the third time is the charm.. so here we go.

Cook

Now you’re probably asking yourself…where does the food come in?

Honestly, I just like to eat.

I use to love to cook. remember going out to eat at restaurants and racing home to try to recreate those dishing. Some were hits, and some were misses, but my family put up with me and tested everything anyways. I’d know if it was good if I woke up the next morning and everything was gone.

Like most childhood joys, as an adult cooking eventually became a chore. It’s like when you were about to do something and someone comes and tells you to do it, now you don’t want to do that thing anymore. It became like that, now that I had to cook, I no longer loved it.

But now I’m reclaiming my love for cooking by merging it with another love…. reading. So welcome and join me as I cook what I read about and give you a review of both the books and the recipes I use.

Sounds easy right???!!!!?? Wish me luck!!!!

What’s your favorite thing to have while reading? Mine is a glass of wine.
